I want to believe and rightly so, that ‘The Goshen Project’ should be a priority to all of us ACOTANS! We should begin to see it completion, and our worship in the new auditorium. We should begin to confess its completion.
Last week, the Bishop paid a surprise visit to the site, and offered prayers for its speedy completion. And in answer to his prayers and the prayers of the faithful here, we had a major donation from one of our partners. I covet your prayers for him.
For every worshipper here, you will agree with me that we have over stayed our present facility. It is time to move! In Deut. 2, God spoke to His children, the same way he is speaking to us today, listen to Him in verses 1 – 3:
“Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness of the Way of the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me, and we skirted Mount Seir for many days. “And the Lord spoke to me, saying: ‘You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward.
Are you proud of your present worship center? Are you happy with it? Do you not think God deserves something better? Are you willing to be used of God to further His Gospel? Well, that’s why we are here. By some miracle, God has taken us this far, but we shall not die in the wilderness. And we have ‘skirted’ this ‘Mountain’ long enough and for many years, it is time to move up. The North in this case is a pointer up, it’s time to move up.
Let Goshen occupy your front burner. Pray concerning Goshen, at your family devotion, your private prayers, where ever you find yourself, pray concerning Goshen. Prophesy concerning its completion. If there are people to pray, there is a God to answer.
Donate towards it. Give generously towards its completion. Ask your family and friends to give towards it. It is God’s house; the attendant benefits are unquantifiable. Forgo something mighty for it and see the manifestation of God’s glory in your life. Do you have people you want us to approach as a church? Give their names to us, and we will do them personal letters.
For the first time in our lives, most of us are seeing the construction of a church building from it’s foundation. Isn’t it marvelous that we are part of it? When we see the cathedrals, they are like buildings built in heaven and transported to earth. It’s our turn to share in this blessing, our turn to make a statement declaring the goodness of God. It’s our turn to build Him a temple.
Be part of it.
God bless you and prosper the works of your hand.
Your vicar and friend
