Operating in Victory II

We are continuing from last week, where we talked about Operating in Victory.

Our song for the year says “Victory is mine, I told satan to get behind me. Why? Because I am serving a living God, Whose name is Jesus Christ, Who died and rose, and gave us victory.

But how many of us have internalized the song, and made it our true confession?  We really need to take our Christian life seriously. The Victorious Christian Life is a reality and a possibility for us all. Christ has paid the price for us; we should therefore enter into that rest.

One challenge we have in our Christian race, is that many of us are ‘in church’, but not ‘in Christ’. The first thing we need to do, if we must enter into this rest of God, is to “give” our lives to Christ, and be sure of our salvation.

The Bible in Rom. 10: 9, 10that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So, we have to make that confession with our mouth, which gives us salvation, which is the first step towards the Christian Victorious Life.

The Prince of Persia that withheld Daniel’s answer to prayers for 21 days, is still alive and active, to fight him, you have to be a Principality, not a kindergarten Christian, for you cannot unseat ‘gods’ if you have not spent time with the Living God, and knowing Him intimately. For what you believe of Jesus will determine what you get from Him. How equipped are you to fight a Principality?

As a child of God, you have the God-kind of faith, and this faith is capable of moving mountains. Jesus said in Mark 11: 23whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. We can speak directly to our mountain and challenges, and address them with authority.

If the mountain is strife, say “Strive, in the name of Jesus, I command you to leave this place now”, not doubting, then lift up your hands and begin to thank God, for removing the problem. You know the kind of feeling you get, when you solve a problem, and you are sure the problem is removed.

The word of the Lord is ‘Spirit and Life’. Jesus said in John 6: 63b The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. When you know your authority, you will believe that what you say in the name of Jesus, will come to pass.  Doubt has no place in you, for faith has flooded your heart.

As a ‘born again’ child of God, you are born to rule and reign in victory in this earth under the authority of Jesus Christ. Expect things to change as you speak, for God has given you victory.

Your Vicar and Friend.
