For some of you reading this, that promotion in your workplace should have come by now; that marriage should have manifested by now; that child should have come by now; you should have finished building that house by now; that financial breakthrough should have manifested in your life by this time; they should have given you that visa by now; that door should have opened for you by this time; that contract should have been signed by now; that miracle should have happened by now, but for some reason, you are still waiting for it to happen. These are the works of the spirit of delay.
This month, going forward, that Spirit of delay, is broken in our lives. We are entering into a covenant of ‘No delay, no lateness’ by the enemy. Of cause God for divine reasons, could cause a delay, for His glory to be seen. But I tell you, most delays are the works of the enemy.
Destiny is a function of time. And it is the devils target. Satan does not attack you because of your past, he troubles you because of your future – that is his primary target! For most of the time, when Satan see that he cannot derail you in destiny, he causes a delay; for when you are delayed long enough, you are destroyed, and you are likely to give up. Gal. 6: 9 says Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. We are likely to give up at long delays. We are been encouraged here not to give up.
In Matt. 25, those 5 foolish virgins delayed the purchase of their oil. They bought what they should buy but at a wrong time, and the door was shut. The door into destiny is ‘close-able’. Those five people were virgins, they waited for the bridegroom, they bought oil but they delayed and as such suffered loss. Any delay or lateness by you, is a possibility of ‘suffering loss’. May you never be late to keep appointment with the King of kings in Jesus name.
Delay is destructive therefore be warned. The angelic forces of God are here to set you free from delays! No delay will hold you captive any longer. Unlike the time of the Prophet Daniel, whom the Angel Michael had to content for, we have Christ in the inside of us; do you have Him? If yes, then you are free from ungodly delays, for There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Rom. 8: 1. Are you walking according to the flesh or spirit?
But then, what causes delays? Until we recognize the immediate cause of delay we can’t proffer genuine solution.
